About us

Photodigm, Inc. is the global leader of single spatial and longitudinal mode Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR) laser diodes. Headquartered in Richardson, Texas, and 100% U.S.-based we’re leading the world’s photonics revolution and have made significant contributions to the realms of quantum sensing, atomic clock manufacturing, optical metrology, and laser spectroscopy. Our fixed wavelength diode lasers, renowned for their accuracy and reliability, are meticulously manufactured at our on-site fabrication facility.

Originally established in 2000 as a spinoff from Southern Methodist University’s  photonics lab, we quickly become a global authority in the design, testing, and manufacturing of single-frequency DBR laser diodes. Our patented technology plays a pivotal role in quantum, biomedical, sensing, environmental, and defense applications.
